Rest Day and Good News
A much needed rest day. Lower chronic pain today for which I am very thankful. I awoke at 6am which I was a bit disappointed about as had hoped for a longer lie but got up about 7.30am for coffee, the weather was wet and wild early on.
I have read a magazine, ate well, enjoyed coffee, did my Duolingo keyboard and Ukrainian, caught up with messages and texts from friends, watched some YouTubers I follow and had a long nap late this afternoon.
I love Autumn, it’s a cosy time. I enjoy the changing colours, so beautiful. It always feels like a time for change, just as the trees shed their leaves.
I had an email today to inform me that I have been successful in being appointed as voluntary Trustee of the Board for the DGMEFM Network of which I have been a member of for over a decade. Its full name is Dumfries and Galloway ME, Fibromyalgia, CFS and Long Covid Network.
I had hoped to get more involved last year but it just wasn’t viable for me and I reluctantly decided against it.
However, I was proposed as a potential Trustee at the AGM in Castle Douglas on Thursday (I couldn’t attend due to my fibro fall) and so there are now four new Trustees including myself.
I’m absolutely delighted, some positive news and I look forward to raising awareness of the impact our chronic conditions have on us on a daily basis. I hope to contribute to making invisible illnesses more visible and increasing understanding and empathy.
I have failed to catch up with Blip but will do so tomorrow :) I’m making a steady recovery after my fall.
Thanks for all your kind comment and stars, enjoy the remainder of your weekend.
