Bling o'clock

The boy did surprisingly well in his Junior Certificate. 
Surprisingly because he did absolutely nothing to prepare for it. I knew that the JC isn't the most challenging sort of exam but still, he did very well indeed. 
So, the potential is there. We always knew it. It's all the more criminal when that potential is wasted. So frustrating when the full potential is not reached. 
Will this perhaps be a wake-up call?
Or will he just assume that everything in life will be just as easy. 
When it won't...
