The road to the north

It’s the A9 to be precise. Yes, there was a long hold up of about 2 miles of cars crawling north because of a very short set of road works. When we passed through the lights, there were precisely 6 cars waiting to go south.

Is it beyond the wit of man to control the lights more appropriately?!

I set off in glorious weather. The sat nav wanted me to go via Edinburgh, but I preferred the Glasgow M74 route. It took the satnav 15 miles to stop telling me to “make a U turn”!

I had all day, so none of this was a problem.

Now I’m ensconced in a Premier Inn in Inverness, ready for the start of the workshop tomorrow.

When I saw the snow topped mountains, I drew into a lay-by to capture an image. The next lay-by would have been better, but I liked the matching pylons, heading north with me. ( I have friends who are keen on pylons!)
