Furry creatures ..
..or creepy creatures depending on your point of view!
We walked up the steep cobbled road that climbs to Haworth Main Street from the by pass road following this group and I could see the gentleman on the left had something animated on his shoulder. At the top I asked if I could take his and it’s photo. His friend then showed me his (even creepier to my mind) furry friend so included him too. Thankfully what the lady was carrying didn't move!
Yes we were at the now bi annual Haworth Steam Punk event. Our ATN choir were singing here as usual outside the Black Bull near the top of the Main Street.
The weather wasn’t too bad though I was a bit concerned about the security of my newly added peacock feathers on my hat in the wind.
We missed out a couple of songs I think largely as the men were a bit thin on the ground and then about four songs in it started to rain. All our leaders equipment needs protecting from the rain so in the end we only sang 5 out of our set of 10.
Shame for all the people who’d put in the effort to dress up and parade the setts of Haworth. It rained heavily for about 30 minutes and it’s sunshine and blue skies again now! Typical
Friend K gave me a lift home and despite him parking up on the moor I didn't get too wet (my packable raincoat was in my bag)
Good to manage at least a bit of a sing after all this week's croaking. Next event is on Friday and that will thankfully be indoors.
