Shapes

It was a bright cold sunny morning as l headed out for the station. The train to Exeter was on time and I just made the connection for the London train. It was a short train with few carriages but as l was on at the beginning of the journey l had a seat. They were advising people to get off the train for a later different route further down the line. Anyway it arrived on time and l quickly met up with my friend.

I hadn’t realised just how much the centre of London had changed from my previous visit We walked around the South Bank area where both she and I used to work. It’s now really just a tourist area full of eateries. It was a beautiful day with bright blue skies and great fun recognising old places. Big Ben was certainly sparkling now it’s been cleaned up. This shot is from a passage way between new high rise blocks.

We then returned to her house for the evening. It does seem strange being in an area l knew so well at one time but is now so different. We chatted with another university friend in Italy in the evening which was lovely to do.
