Non metric hill

Arkle and finn walked with company.

Headed north with my pal and his partner.

Plan was 3 wee hills.

First hill a stroll with snipe rising and deer rutting. Good summit view, we were on the edge of the weather.

A stroll down with a find of a stag skeleton with 8 point antlers, just left it to go back to the land.

A cracking next wee hill steep and short, deer and pheasants for company.

Last hill and longest walk. Luckily the road closure was at the start point.

A good track to a gate with strong words about ground nesting birds and cattle. We chose to continue. On reaching the cattle we slowed down and let them settle and walked along the fence line.

A very fertile ascent to a cairnless summit, good views.

A quicker ascent and out route chosen from tge summit.

Tea and chat on way home.

Quiet night.

Dog walk awaits.

Tough day at hospital for eco mum, dementia is tough fir those closest.
