A Trip To The Doctor
It was a trip to the car doctor for our car this morning and a trip to the physio for me.
After about 3 changes of time yesterday, the pick up driver (or “customer journey champion” as the company grandiosely described him!) arrived earlier than billed this morning and very quickly and efficiently had it loaded up and on its way. We should get the diagnosis early next week.
My diagnosis was a possible frozen shoulder and the prescription a course of physiotherapy.
Just when we thought everything was sorted and under control, we got a phone call from the car hire company saying that the car they’d given us yesterday had been recalled by Head Office as they wanted to sell it and asking if we could “pop in” to return it and pick up a different one.
“Popping in” required a round journey to Yeovil of 30 miles and 90 minutes but we did get a newer, more comfortable car as a result.
Just to cap a stressful few days, I was about to start cooking dinner when we had a power cut. The power has only just been restored an hour and a half later so a large gin, followed by a takeaway and a glass or two of wine, was the order of the day.
