Trerice Manor

A lovely sunny morning to revisit NT Trerice Manor which is just outside Newquay.  I love to see its gardens through the seasons.  There was apparently an ancient hall and tower on the site before the current Tudor house was built, and some of the glass in the window in the Great Hall has been dated to the 1400s.

It was lovely to see a Great Tit hunting and a Wren trilling, and more suprising to see a Red Admiral sunning itself in the orchard.  Even more surprising, this afternoon we saw a duck with 7 tiny ducklings (extra) on the lake in the park!
