NOT ONLY...

...does Mr. HCB clean out garages - reasonable rates apply, so let me know if you need his help - BUT HE ALSO grows wonderful flowers in our garden.

This is a Dahlia named “Bora Bora” and I can confirm that the tuber was quite expensive, but now, having seen the flower, it was worth it.  Mr. HCB always says he doesn’t buy me flowers - and that’s true - in fact, we have just had a conversation about the last time he bought me flowers, and neither of us can remember when - but he enjoys growing them for me, and in a way, that’s better!

It’s a beautiful sunny day today, but is markedly colder, as the weather men and women told us, so I guess it will soon be time to hunker down and keep ourselves warm.  We have been thinking about all those affected by Hurricane Milton in Florida and of course, the ongoing wars in different parts of the world - and although we do tend to grumble in this country, on the whole, we are very blessed.

It would be great if you could please continue to CLICK on this LINK so that those who cannot afford to pay for a mammogram may have a free one.  Also, please remember to check your breasts regularly - both men and women - and get an appointment with your doctor if you are at all concerned.  We tend to think that it is only women who have breast cancer, but that isn’t true - but what is true is that it is one of the highly treatable cancers if found in its early stages.
