Red House
A rare day off from the theatre today, and I have spent most of it in a very indolent manner - catching up on some recorded telly and going out for a coffee before lunch.
But, after lunch, I decided to do something that I have been meaning to get round to for almost two years now. Back at the beginning of November 2022, I did a bit of tiling work for a friend of mine and, unfortunately, scratched the door of my car getting out of her drive. Despite the door being slightly dented, the paintwork damage was only minor and I resolved to get it done after winter.
Well, winter came and went - as did the whole of 2023 and most of 2024 - and I did nothing about it. Another scratch appeared about a year ago but, because it was on the plastic bumper, I wasn’t too bothered. However, whilst cleaning some bird poo off the bonnet recently, I noticed that a rather large stone chip was starting to go rusty. Now, that’s only going to get worse over winter so I definitely need to get these repairs done sooner rather than later.
So I drove out to Prestige Panel Repairs (who I’ve used before) and they took photos of the damage and will email me a quote in due course. They said they would also touch up a few other stone chips on the bonnet and the scratches on the edges of the door.
And today’s photo? Simply a house I spotted on the way back from the bodyshop. The sun was shining on the ivy - which caught my eye - and there was a lay-by right next to it. Pulled up, jumped out and snapped a photo. Blip sorted.
Just a case now of waiting for the quote and hoping it isn’t too expensive…
