Decay

Every few days I clear away the leaves from beneath the Fatsia Japonica (or Castor Oil Plant) in the garden as, being large, they can look a bit unsightly.  Today I picked up these three and before they went into the brown bin I thought they were worth a shot.  I rather like the shapes and colours as they gradually start to turn brown and start to decay.

I'm pleased to say that despite the number of leaves that I seem to clear away, the plant is thriving and growing ever larger, with new shoots coming out from the base to fill the spaces left as the main stalk grows higher.
