Rain

I know, hardly headline news but today I was woken by torrential rain and it continued dumping in downpours all day but interspersed by bright bursts of sunshine.  The photo is showing both at the same time. And although it obviously doesn’t photograph well you can see the drops sparkling in the sharp autumn sunlight.  

The only walk I managed today was a quick 20 minute circuit to the end of the road after lunch, without the dog as he was going off for a walk with V and his friend Quinn who came to stay for the night.  She brought a Peperomia plant to add to my accidental houseplant collection. 

They came back from Cowdray with good things and Vik cooked chicken for dinner and I made a radicchio salad with feta which was pretty delicious.   Late but tasty strawberries and a good chat.
