Crazy-assed skies

Got up reasonably early and went straight to work. Surprisingly, the translation went well (except for one bit, which I dint understand in English even) and I managed to complete the whole first draft. Sent it all off to France for review.

Rest of the day was OK – farting around a bit too much. Took Ottawacker Jr. to his goalkeeping and then, just before his second session, it started to look very, very ominous indeed. Like OMINOUS. So Mrs. Ottawacker hopped in the car and went to fetch him.

Made an unexpected dinner (cheese on toast) and then settled in en famille to watch The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, which, in my naivete, I thought was a light-hearted film, with Jim Broadbent and Penelope Witton. It was far from a light0hearted film, involving suicide, depression, cancer, you name it. Exquisite acting though – and it has opened up the door for difficult conversations. The rating was “12”…
