I have made a a few of these over the summer, mostly they go into the local 'Love to Create' shop but I sold one at Bryncrug Country Fair too. Bespoke souvenirs from Tywyn are not so common and these are easy enough to make.
Up at 630 - very early for me - to run Jamie to Machynlleth as the early train from Tywyn was cancelled. He's off for ten days visiting his Mum and Clara. He took Bella with him and Ruth met them at New Street, Bella will stay with Ruth this time. There was some lovely light after we drove through Aberdovey, reflections in the estuary and as the sun rose over Mach it cast a golden glow through the mist ... but I was driving so no Blip there.
Back near home Meg had the earliest walk she's ever had before I went to the Wednesday community session at pottery, the earliest I have ever got there. I was first to arrive! I created and used a cardboard template for a butter dish similar to the ones I made earlier this year, bringing the parts for the lid home so that I could assemble them when they were almost leather hard. It's drying now and looking good.
An afternoon of chores before tea and then Wednesday choir where Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy is proving an entertaining challenge. Early night now, work on removing the back wall starts in the morning so any peaceful lie in will be short!
