Mote Park

I’ve always liked this view of Mote Lake looking down from an elevated position. Looks good with the bank of trees as a backdrop to the lake and prom where there are usually families feeding wildfowl. The council have installed a duck food dispenser to encourage people to give the fowl the right feed rather than bread.

A packed morning with multifarious activities filling the time. And an afternoon where various tasks on the never ending lists were ticked off - and more added, of course.

This evening we attended an event hosted by BearstedCAN where the leader of the lawyer group Client Earth spoke to a well attended meeting in Holy Cross Church.

You may know about Client Earth - they take governments and companies to court for breaking the law. They also help governments frame new environmental laws. You get the impression that, important as their work is, they’re chipping at the tip of an iceberg. And the degrees organisations will go to to distract and lie to consumers takes your breath away.
