Checking In

Last night was the chilliest one so far this season. Thankfully no frost (yet) but a heavy wet dew. I was happy to find our lone caterpillar, a swallowtail, unfazed by it all. He visited two different fennel plants today, plants I had to stake up because they’re so tall and sprawling • MrsP joined me in cutting back many perennials, plus numerous goldenrod scattered about the yard, and the runner beans. Little by little we’re making progress towards prepping for winter • Watching the news coverage of hurricane Milton making its way to Florida. What a scary storm. Our neighbors delayed leaving for their winter home in Florida this week. They’re in a Watch and Wait mode • Peace & Love
