The Total Crop

They are just about life-sized in the picture and I suspect I might need the chainsaw to cut them .... but it three times the quantity of last years.

I made loads of wood chippings and virtually nothing else at the lathe this morning.

Later we headed into Costco to get one of two pieces - and SWMBO wanted to see if the had any of the BOSE earphones she fancies. They didn't.
Before leaving I filled the cars fuel tank.
Back in the Wild West we stopped off at Curry's where they did have the earphones .... inside a perspex box. 
I went looking for a member of staff to see about getting fingers on them. There were a total of 3 staff in the place ... one was doing repairs/servicing and not speaking to customers, one was being talked at by a couple (complaining about the fact that they couldn't buy off the shelf but had to order on line and then collect it) and the other one (when I eventually found him) wouldn't even come over ..... "No - you can't handle them - it it for 'Elf-n-Safety' reasons -- but you can handle and try on traditional headphones? -- Yes, but not the others.  Cheerio! Thanks for nothing!
How are they still in business?

Got a phone call from the secretary at the Doctors surgery while we were driving home. She needed the date that we booked/paid for the flights so that the doctors letter could be completed to claim the cancelled flights back from the insurance company. Well, that is another step closer.
