Ottery St Mary

We are staying in a farm cottage near Ottery St Mary which is just about a mile or so from us.

Here is the history of the Ottery St Mary tar barrels event Event And the photo is of the bonfire they are building for November the 5th. The flag on top is the Devon flag.

And Ottery St Mary is the birthplace of the famous poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. One of his most well known poems is the Rime of the ancient mariner
