The Theatre

B and I attended an event at the Old Classis/Empire Theatre Rotherham this afternoon, to share and discuss memories of the theatre, which has recently been repurchased, and is undergoing a refurbishment. Afternoon tea was provided, very nice, and a variety of social groups mixed and reminisced. We were apprehensive about exploring too much, as the interior was severely stripped back, rather like a building site and was in fact a little unsafe. Looking up, showed the balcony torn away, exposing huge concrete slabs, which provided today's blip. The future of the building is yet to be decided.
