My Life With Luna

Sutton Hoo

Took my granddaughter, Maddison, to the National Trust's Sutton Hoo this afternoon. Its the site where Raedwald, King of East Anglia, was laid to rest in AD625. The burial ship was revealed during an archaeological excavation dig in 1939. The artefacts are awesome with some of the treasures on loan from the British Museum. There are also some lovely walks through the 245 acre estate. It was a beautiful afternoon made even more enjoyable by being with a beautiful 12 year old.
