Stumbled across this type scale today. Won't mean much to today's young designers and web builders. But they were a vital tool in days gone by when computers were just pipe dreams and paper and word counts ruled the day for the average print journalist and designer - a very valuable tool. Sure this will stir a few memories. It did with me!
