Walking along the Shotover River …..

….. ….. ….. towards Coronet Peak.
With a forecast of gale force nor’westers I decided to walk along the true right of the river, for some protection. It’s an unusual walk for me and the first time through the Tuckers Beach restoration project. I’m hoping that will fit in with the Wide Wednesday challenge! The views of the mountains and river are beautiful.

My kale has been growing really well and has been so copious I haven’t been able to keep up with it. The family have been getting arms full and I’ve been taking it over to the Lodge too. Today I took 2 shopping bags full in to Soulfood, an organic shop, and the owner Paul was delighted with it. I won’t be growing quite as much next year. Last night’s dinner was Leek, Kale & Kumara soup, the recipe tweaked from Leek & Potato. Leftovers tonight.
