Well, where's my breakfast?!

A shot from very early this morning of one of the two wood pigeons who frequently raid visit my sunflower hearts feeder.

Most of this very hot day was spent replacing the pedals on my bicycle by a pair of new ones. The old right one came off quite easily but the left pedal was a whole different matter. It took ages before I finally managed to get it off and my right hand felt quite sore afterwards. It had to be done though as this left pedal was in such a bad state that I doubt it would have lasted much longer.

I'm definitely not looking forward to having to go out into the heat tomorrow and spending a whole day in a meeting again. I doubt very much that we'll be so lucky that it will be cut short again like last week.

Many thanks for the lovely comments and stars on my cricket blip from yesterday. After looking it up I'm fairly sure that it's a female Speckled Bush Cricket.
