Fire

I wasn’t going to engage in the Tiny Tuesday challenge, as I was unlikely to come across anything today related to the theme, Fire. And then ……

It was the fourth session of the “introduction to sketching and drawing” course at Warrington FE College this afternoon. This week we were told it was all going to be about drawing with charcoal, which is of course a product of Fire. There are two sources for charcoal, willow and grape vine, and our teacher thinks willow is better.

We had to draw two items - an apple and then one of a number of items on a little table (I chose a gilded budgerigar). It’s a very messy process, we were all covered in charcoal after a couple of hours.

I’m an absolute beginner at all of this, so had no intention of blipping my effort. But it does fit the theme tangentially, so here it is
