El Ancho

El Ancho means "the wide one". It´s the local name for the wide end of the calle del Sol, which is a street in Villaviciosa .To the right is the overspill canopy area of Cafe Avenida, which is my cup-of-coffee place of choice in Villaviciosa. A couple more views of it, one in colour, as well as a couple of other Villaviciosa views, in extra. One is a rear view of the church of Sta María de la Oliva also showing part of the statue of "the countrywoman". The other´s the romanesque west (i.e. main) entrance to that same church.
