Molecules of Life
Museum lectures resumed today with a lecture by our President entitled Molecules of Life. The notes say ‘as we uncover ever more about the mechanisms of life at the molecular level, modern computer animations allow us to visualise the amazing inner workings of our bodies.’ No wonder I feel tired. It was above my head but the graphics and animations were certainly amazing, and can be found online. The cover illustrates the talk on 29th October, on Devon Festivals by Robert Hesketh. The talk will concentrate on the oldest festivals and the most traditional in character, such as wassailing in Crediton and elsewhere, and the Green Man day in Pilton.
The attendance was good today despite the heavy showers . Jacqui was on Dartmoor with the RSPB but the visit was abandoned after an hour on Emsworthy Mire.
