Unexpected

Not the day I had planned but it all worked out in the end.
Rugby club, I had a couple of things planned in to do, Lou the Clubhouse Manager, not usually there on a Thursday was at the club which turned out to be quite fortuitous.
I’d just finished my coffee when Colin, one of the volunteers, arrived into the conservatory white faced, short of breath and with chest pains, I suspected the worse. We called his wife from the lower level to sit by him, to help him sit calmly breathe deeply whilst we dialled 999.
The ambulance arrived, they checked Colin over and were transporting him to Treliske when he had his heart attack.
He was treated on arrival and will recover - all good news but a bit of a dampener on the day.

A visit to the mobile butchers to stock up on sausages, bacon and black pudding, give my liking for a cooked breakfast surely life’s staples.

All packed and ready for the off tomorrow.
