The water is slowly cooling down and it was noticeable this weekend. I went with my WI wild swim group up to Redbrook. The ethos of the WI is encouraging and supporting women. This group has just grown in strength and motivation and we have become good friends. I had originally said I would take anyone for a taster session, but we have become a group who go regularly. It has been wonderful seeing them try wild swimming….each week they have bought something else…they all have gloves now, which were a definite necessity this weekend….and this reinforces their commitment and love of what we do. Together we gasped at the coldness, together we laughed, sang and yelped, together we swam and together we all had great big smiles as we headed back to the cars. Together is such a lovely and powerful word!
