Zoom in Close ...

... and you can't see the weeds!

A lovely bright, sunny day here on the coast.  It brought the best out of several different Autumn crocus both in the garden and the cold frames.  This is Crocus speciosus, the most commonly and easily grown species in UK gardens.  It's a little prone to flop unless in a very bright spot but can be grown in grass or among other weeds plants, as here.   The corms can be bought quite cheaply at some garden centres and through various online suppliers.

I had a long lie in to recharge my batteries, most of it asleep.  After a late breakfast C and I walked the Megs down to the seafront, best that my Meg has limited exercise until she's better.  She seems bright enough this evening but I don't yet know if the problem has resolved itself so a visit to the vet is still a possibility.   Lunch and some admin then I spent some time sorting the last of the bulbs in the greenhouse before calling round to see Jamie for a bit.

A quiet night in.  More admin and after supper I might play with a lump of clay before bedtime.
