Fort Dunlop.

Back at home now.

Snapped this on our way through Birmingham. Actually, my phone was on video, so this is a still screenshot of the video. Didn't come out too bad.

Fort Dunlop was a tyre factory, and main office of Dunlop Rubber. In the 1950's it employed 10,000 workers. It closed in the 1980's. It's now a grade A listed building housing commercial space, shops, car park and hotel.

It's an imposing building. We see it regularly on our way up and back to Manchester as we seldom use the Toll road these days (way too expensive!) One day I know we will regret that decision!
