The Woog

…is Darmstadt’s city pond, fed by the Darmbach stream, used as a nature swimming pool, and was originally dammed up in the 17th century for fire extinguishing.

The building on the left is the Youth Hostel (where I spent a night in 1980, when firstly visiting the city), in the background is Mathildenhöhe with the Wedding Tower and the exhibition hall.
