Monday Miscellany

A beautiful day. Wanted to get on in the garden but needed to take our springer for a medium walk so settled for driving down to the village and walking a circuit using lanes & field paths, dipping in & out of the two adjacent villages. Was studying the wasps & bees on some ivy when a Comma kindly came and posed for me. Also managed to capture some of the backlit quinoa plants in a field which had been sown with a seed mix for wildlife - the more numerous plants in between are, I think, fodder radish and these have well-developed seed pods.
