Today was spent at St Cirq Lapopie, which again was another medieval town which was built uphill. There was on particular hill which gave a spectacular view of the river Lot and the surrounding countryside.

After we had seen all there was to see in St Cirq, we visited La Grotte de Pech Merle, which is a prehistoric site with cave paintings and footprints still visible. Well worth a visit! Unfortunately though, photos were forbidden in order to preserve the cave paintings for as long as possible.
