Mima’s Beetroot Curry

Caught up with blip - phew!

We both did some desk work in the morning (BB more than me) and then I made beetroot curry. Thanks Bb for taking the pic. I used blipper Mima's recipe, which she kindly shared a few days ago. I found myself looking at the beetroot and wondering if it was 'a bit bigger than a tennis ball' - the measurement given in her recipe. I also added the spices to the garlic, onions and ginger and stirred them 'until the fragrances of the spices filled my nose' - again from her recipe. Isn't blip a generous place?  It was very tasty indeed and we had it for our late lunch/early dinner with the whole roast chicken that we'd bought from our local place on Calle Berlin. There's lots left for at least another two portions and perhaps some to freeze or give to our neighbour Angels.  Of course, there's lots of chicken left too and so we're set up for the next few days of eating in.

We had a wander round the barrio before dinner and then relaxed in the evening at home.  It was actually quite warm again today.
