Bathurst’s main claim to fame is the car racing track called Mt Panorama (Wahluu in Aboriginal language). The climax of the touring car races in Australia is held here on the second weekend in October each year when the revheads come from all over the world. They just love the difficult track around the mountain. It is normally a suburban street but is closed off for a week for the races. I know and respect people who follow the races but it is a mystery to me none the less.  The trucks and race crews have started arriving and filling the normally empty streets. Our son has vacated his home for extra accommodation and gone to Sydney for the week, that is why we have the cat staying. 

I’ve had another busy day in the garden, I’m tired but it’s a good feeling. It’s lovely weather 3-21° range for the day. About perfect for me.
