Safely on a lead!

This ridiculous animal disappeared when I let her off the lead in Sutton park - we were calling and looking for her for ages when I got a call from my colleague (Denise) asking if I’d lost my dog. She’d run into church where they were having craft afternoon and run out again (about a mile away from where we were across various busy roads)! What’s more - she came to church from the direction of our house and we’ve since heard someone saw her running across the road at the top of the church hill which would be to our house! So presumably something spooked her (there was a big race on and I wonder if they set off the starting gun or something…) and so she ran home in her panic - realised we weren’t there and she couldn’t get into decided to go to her other safe space where she spends most days with us at church! Saw we weren’t there - and this is the really crazy bit - (at this point I’d gone with Tom to get in his car to go search for her and had my neighbours out checking if she was there) she ran back to the park - and managed to find Sam (in a different part of the park from where we lost her!) who she jumped up on from behind in a hyper crazed shaking state - incredibly happy to see him! Needless to say - she was not allowed off the lead again and won’t be anytime soon! We spent the afternoon hoping we wouldn’t hear of some pile up in Sutton caused by a stray dog…
