Expensive tomatoes

After Pilates I stopped off at the veg stall that occasionally turns up in the small market square in Midhurst.  They have an organic market garden and the produce is squeaking with freshness and colour. I bought tomatoes, aubergines, radicchio, salad and sunflowers and we ate most of it for supper tonight.  Not the sunflowers.

Did you notice the incredible multi coloured corn? Ornamental I think but the growers said you could make flour out of them!  Such pretty colours, they apparently bought one and have grown them every year from that one cob.

Gorgeous warm day when the sun was at its height.  Happy to spend most of it at home.  V was very tired from his busy week and slept a lot so is staying here tomorrow.

I cooked stuffed tomatoes and roast aubergines with walnut sauce with tomato bread and salad.

watched a Murders in the building and finished the Rachel Kushner novel, Creation Lake which I really enjoyed.
