Kulcha
After breakfast this morning I took a gentle stroll from my hotel (just east of the main railway station) over to the river.
It was very pleasant.
I think I had only visited the city once before - 30 years ago - and that was for work. My memory is limited to an expensive hotel and an award winning restaurant. I must have done some work too, but no exploration of the city.
Well, now I know... at least along that route.
My travel home went well. Eurowings and Düsseldorf Airport did a grand job and we arrived in Edinburgh about 10 minutes early. That is where the sh*t hits the fan, of course.
Usually, but not tonight. The passport control area was deserted, my bag arrived about 5 minutes after I reached the reclaim area, and I got a bus to the park and ride with only a 5 minute wait.
Ideal.
I got my Blip on Friedrich Ebert Straße, as I reflected on the cultural activity I had missed out on during my visit. Maybe next time.
