Pass(age) to the Dales

Think l have mentioned before how fortunate l am to have a bus stop a few hundred metres from my home. Can catch numerous buses at the weekend run by Dales Bus and supported by various organisations.
Today Elaine and l caught the 875 a bus that starts at York, passes through my village , calls at Ilkley, Grassington, Kettlewell, Bucken, Aysgarth and terminates at the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes.
At here is a return bus after two hours and another one an hour later.
We had a quick walk around Hawes but decided to eat at the Creamery as it has a visitor centre. Of course we tasted about ten different cheeses and bought two, which we are going to share between us.
Cafe was very good , lots of cheese items on the menu of course, we settled on sharing a sandwich and a three cheese scone, both fresh and delicious.
Got an ice cream cone to enjoy on the bus as we came home.
The weather forecast hadn’t been favourable but after a Misty start we enjoyed sunshine until mid afternoon when we caught the bus home.
My blip is taken from the upper deck of the bus between Grassington and Kettlewell and you can see what a lovely day it was weatherwise. My extra was at Hawes as we boarded the bus home, not a great photograph but look at all the birds on the telegraph wire getting ready for winter.
Such a fabulous day out curtesy of our bus pass , think we did about 100 miles all told.

Strictly tonight , l haven’t changed my mind since last week about who should go but l was wrong then so who knows maybe Toyah will survive another week?
