It's taken me a while to decompress after yesterday's excitement. My brain has been overstimulated and I have had Robert Burns' song "Bonnie Lassie" on repeat all day. A lovely song, especially when sung by Emily Smith (listen here for the magic), but still...

So I've treated myself to a quiet day, going walking without my phone, wandering in the garden and enjoying the autumn colours, picking up windfalls to make a crumble. I had a go on the old swing in the woods (moved here to make way for Sarah and Chris's wedding two years ago).

A neighbour visited in the afternoon, he had asked me to witness his will. Hopefully it won't be used for a few years to come...
