Deer on Pete Lake Trail

Today we had a marvelous hike to Pete Lake. It was a difficult decision to choose a photo to remember the day. The lake was gorgeous with snow capped peaks in the distance. The trail was lovely with not a lot of vertical but 4-5 miles of gentle up and down, crossing creeks and walking near a river. I was enchanted to come across this deer. He stood and watched us for a while and then, quickly walked away.
