South Tynedale Railway

Had a change and went over the tops to
Alston and had a ride on the South Tynedale Railway. Alston to Slaggyford and back.
I think it’s only five or six miles in length but it goes through some lovely scenery. I find travelling on a steam powered railway so relaxing.
The only stressful part of the trip was all the motorbikes flying past me going over Hartside, I think there may have been some event going on as there was a camera man near the top of the pass.
