Birthday Boy

And a spectacular day too! We’ve cycled a most wonderful circuit, mostly on tiny mountain roads. After not wanting to do the Espuña climb yesterday and plumping for the col, Rich decided at the col that he fancied that too. Lucky I had anticipated his thinking! It was a gorgeous road and we’d set off early so the heat hadn’t kicked in. 

On the descent, we happened across a modern cafe in the middle of a pine forest that served delicious coffee and tostadas - perfect! It was then a fabulous descent before climbing back up to El Berro. It was in the heat but nothing too hard.

After showers, snacks and chilling, my brain decided to have a migraine but good timing, I’d say.

Rich has had a great day and I managed to cook him birthday curry and deliver a fine wine from Bordeaux.
