Members Weekend

It was the Members Weekend and Autumn Steam Gala at the North Norfolk Railway, so as I member I got to travel for free. First thing I brushed down three more fence panels and moved manure bags out of the way ready for 'painting' this afternoon. Then I drove to the station and caught the first train out, which was hauled by Hercules, the steam engine you can see in my main photo. This was taken part way round the tour of the sheds at Weybourne, only possible one day a year. I've used it as my main photo as I'd be surprised if I got another photo of a steam train arriving when outside the sheds, plus Hercules is only visiting. I've added extras of a steamy engine appearing from under the bridge at Weybourne, the Thomas the Tank engine faces on the shed wall - processed to look ominous, and a photo back into the sheds of an engine being worked on. I find the tour of the sheds fascinating. Then I took another steam train over to Sheringham where I did a bit of shopping before heading back to Holt on another steam train. This afternoon I finished applying the fence treatment to the final four panels.
