A stroll out...
...to Old Harry's Rocks ..
One legend says that the Devil (traditionally known euphemistically as "Old Harry") slept on the rocks. Another local legend says that the rocks were named after Harry Paye, the infamous Poole pirate, whose ship hid behind the rocks awaiting passing merchantmen.
Whichever, young Otto was keen to get close to the edge to see, and daddy was very keen to gently make sure he didn't - the drop over the cliffs was pretty steep. The green thing peering out of Otto's hood is Esse the snake - purchased from the excellent little shop in Studland, and entertaining us all this afternoon with his/her antics ;)
Wine and firelighters may also have been purchased ;))
