Snakes Alive!
Billy was barking insistently, in a way he does when he wants me to come see.
I wasn't disappointed.
He'd bailed up this snake.
I knew it wouldn't take much for him to have a go, as he becomes emboldened by my presence, so I mentioned the word 'schmacko' and moved as quickly as I was able, to get one.
Having locked him inside, I returned with the camera, just before it slithered under some azaleas.
It's a bit of a worry really, especially when you think it's not even summer.
Obviously I can't keep him locked in the house for the next six months, or watch him all day, so it'll have to be a 'fingers crossed' situation.
I'm hoping IsbiJG will be able to identify it.
I've put up an extra, John, and it was about one and a half metres.
