The meeting first thing went well and ran longer than I was expecting, but fortunately, I still had plenty of time to get back home and be there when the wee ones returned from school.

I am very lucky that for the most part my job gives me the ability to be there for my family when they need me. When I grouse about it, I do need to remember that despite the fact that my employers are dropping the ball left, right and centre of late, there are some fringe benefits to be enjoyed.

Because of their brilliance with their cousins at the weekend, I’d offered the wee ones a treat and they’d both requested a trip to McDonalds. We had a nice walk into town chatting away and catching up on the last couple of days. The food was the food and then we headed for home and a viewing of Black Panther, which they absolutely loved.

While the film played, The Youngest was busy sketching away and came up with these cute cat creations (extra). I think they’re fantastic and particularly like the Wolverine version.
