At the Neighbours

I had to bring bad news to my 89-year-old- neighbour Maria.
Because it's such a small world I had to tell her that Flora, her friend of 70 years passed away last night.
In this small world Flora was also a neighbour and friend of one of my colleagues living in Kaiserslautern.
Not certain if the family had already found the time to inform Maria,  I was undecided wether I should tell her or not but in the end I did.
As a child I spent more time at Maria's house than at home. And of course got to know her friend and her friends family very well.
