Civic award ceremony.

Taken last night , I must confess !
NC and another former councillor are seen here receiving their long service awards from the mayor.
I took lots of photos and videos so that I could record it all for our children. It’s been a family affair as the home phone is available to constituents 24 / 7 and so they have all answered many calls over the years as well as delivered countless leaflets and waited up so they could see their dad after his numerous meetings. Over the years there have been frequent callers who have , in their own special ways , enriched our lives .
The other councillor remembered me being his teacher at the college years ago and several other folk also remembered me in various educational capacities. It’s nice to be remembered!.
I shall post an extra that shows the mayor and the “wives “ alongside the councillors. I felt proud of NC as he delivered his final speech ( for the moment?) which was encouraging and uplifting with an edge of humour which is his trademark .
