The view from the window

Today we headed down to Pennan on the Aberdeenshire coast. To say it was only a 3 hour trip it felt a long way!
Probably because we spent the morning saying goodbye to my surrogate parents (best friends parents) and then part of the afternoon with said friend. By the time we set off the A96 was full of those leaving early on a Friday! Added to that of course it is single lane road all the way! Added to that is being stuck behind all the bloody lorries heading from Inverness to Aberdeen!!
